Coogee Lanterns 2025.

Coogee Lanterns returns in 2025 after a highly successful debut in 2024!

Last year, local community members took part in sculptural paper lantern-making workshops, learning to craft lanterns with bamboo sticks, colorful kite paper, and PVA glue.

In 2025, workshops will run over two consecutive weekends leading up to the winter solstice, welcoming participants aged 5 to 99.

The project will culminate in a stunning solstice lantern parade at Coogee Beach Rainbow - a vibrant celebration where participants proudly showcase their creations and share their newly acquired skills with the community.
